The Beatrix Farrand Society sponsored Roxanne Brouse’s recent lecture at Garland Farm on Mt. Desert Island, Maine. The presentation highlighted excerpts from Ms. Brouse’s monograph, which is the first to detail Beatrix Farrand’s work designing the carriage roads of Acadia National Park. The monograph entitled ‘The Public-Spirited Beatrix Farrand of Mount Desert Island’ will be published and released to the public later this year in September 2016.
