Bruton Parish Church served as the center of political, religious and social life in the colonial capital, Williamsburg. The churchyard evolved over time while retaining the scale and beauty that parishioners and visitors alike appreciate. A renovation of the churchyard maintains its 18th century character, respects the requirements of an active congregation, and accommodates three million visitors a year.
